Drop-top 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS is stylish, fun
These days, most people can conjure up a pretty vivid image when they hear the word “Camaro”. Indeed, the popular remake from Chevrolet is performing well and providing the industry with a sound example of high-quality American automotive engineering. FewChicago Chevy Camarodrivers are aware that the 2011 Camaro SS comes in stylish convertible form as well; drop-top sales account for only 20% of total sales volume for the Camaro. We’re here to get the word out about a good thing! The 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible is not only a high-performing beauty that’s full of style; it’s fun to drive too. If you get the chance to test drive a Camaro SS for yourself, the first thing you’ll likely notice is the pleasant sound coming from under the hood. Though engine sound may be a little more subdued with the top down, the powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine will leave no doubt that it is there. The Camaro SS comes with a 6-speed manual transmission good for an impressive 426 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque (An automatic transmission option is also available, good for 400hp). But just because you are cruising with the top down with the wind in your hair doesn’t mean that you aren’t safe and aware. New to the 2011 Camaro SS is a Head-Up Display (HUD) that provides current speed, rpm and radio station information on the windshield. The HUD is fully adjustable to suit your field of vision, and can even be configured to display directions should you opt for OnStar’s Turn-by-Turn Navigation. Hands-free Bluetooth technology and Mp3-player functionality round out an interior package that is both safe and comfort-oriented. 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible 6.2-L V8 engine producing 426 horsepower and 24 MPG highway Large-diameter Pirelli PZero ultra-high performance tires Launch control (with manual transmission) for strong acceleration Performance-tuned suspension Reinforced steel safety cage Four air bags StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System with Traction Control 4-wheel antilock brakes The 2011 Camaro SS convertible is a hot buy because it looks good, sounds strong and handles well. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month in the United States. In the ongoing fight against this disease, research and education are key in raising awareness and identifying a cure. During the past few years, breast cancer research has led to new, promising treatments that have the potential to drastically increase the chances of survival among patients. Leading the way is the American Cancer Society, whose fund raising, research and public awareness efforts have been integral in helping woman catch this disease in its early stages and beat it. How to change a tire with Sunny and Amy
As much as we’d like to guarantee that you’ll never experience a flat tire in one of our new orused cars,Chicagodrivers know this isn’t realistic; conditions vary, circumstances change and things happen out on the road. Flat tires seem to occur when you least expect them – and when you’re least prepared. Now is the time to bookmark this article! I’ve included a video, created recently with the help of Sunrise Chevy and its employees, in which Amy learns how to change a flat tire. Regardless of what you are driving, tune in to this important information so that you’re prepared when the unexpected happens. As you can see, changing a flat tire is far from difficult; the obstacle usually lies in actually deciding to arm oneself with the knowledge in the first place. Flat tire? Here’s what Sunny would do: Pull over. off the road, to a safe place Put your vehicle in “Park” and turn off your engine Turn on your emergency (hazard) lights Remove tools and the spare tire from the trunk (or rear) of the vehicle Place center of the jack underneath the pinch weld Loosen all five lug nuts before raising the car Use the jack to raise the car until wheel is completely off the ground Remove lug nuts completely, remove flat tire and replace with spare Hand-tighten all five lug nuts Slowly lower wheel back to the ground and pull jack from beneath the car Tighten completely using lug wrench Put flat tire in the trunk along with tools Of course, having OnStar service in your vehicle is a definite advantage in this and other emergency situations. If you can’t swap your tire out for some reason, press the OnStar button in your car, or call (800) 243 – 8872, to get a free tow to any of the localChevrolet dealers West Chicagohas to offer. Thanks to Amy, Sunny and the folks at Sunrise Chevrolet, you’re now fully prepared to change a flat tire. Though we hope you never have to face this situation, it’s good to know what you’re doing when the situation arises. We also recommend that you keep an emergency kit in the trunk – just in case. ...read more
