Dance Corner is excited to be off and running in our new season. So far The Dance Corner New Horizons Dance Team competed at the Dupree Dance Expo on October 9th and 10th at the Mariott in Oakbrook. The students had a great time, check out on Facebook for pictures. They got to take class from some of the leading choreographers and teachers in the industry. Our kids even got to take class from Thayne, from "So You Think You Can Dance". How exciting! This past weekend the team sold Carson Days Coupon books as a fundraiser. Some are still available if you are interested, just ask the front desk. This week in all our classes we will be doing our spooky Halloween Dances with costumes, black lights, crazy lights and other fun surprises. Hey, everyone, I think I am finally figuring out this blog and website thing. Chck out our promotions for new or not yet returning students. They are AWESOME!!! We are excited that we are currently rehearsing for our upcoming compettion at the Mariott Oakbrook on October 10th and 11th called the DuPree Dance Expo. This is a great venue, where our DCNH - Dance Corner New Horizons Competition Team gets to show their stuff! We have several dances competing and will also be participating in the master class workshop. It is so important for students to get to experience different teachers, and different styles of dance, and different styles of teaching. It is so much fun, being in a huge ballroom, with 100's of students all interested in the samme thing. Very exciting and motivating to find out that there are so many other committed dancers. One of our students won a scholarship at this convention last year, and is getting all their classes FREE this year! So much FUN!! ...read more
