I used to work at this place years ago as a cook and I must say that it was the worst job I ever had. They were taking money out of my paycheck for employee meals even though I never ate them. The employee meal was at 2 o'clock and I didn't work until 3 why was I expected to show up to work an hour early just to get the employee meal. I had never seen such a bunch of unhappy people in a workplace before. There was one day they had 3 servers quit all in one day. This one waitress in particular had asthma and she was working outside on a very humid summer day and felt like she was having an attack and the manager refused to let her go home so she just ended up walking out. I do believe that same day one of the female managers was yelling at a waitress and made her burst into tears right in front of customers and very surprisingly I found out that female manager was a frequent Catholic Church attender. It's a great hotel. Very clean, nice, free breakfast, large rooms!! Beware i don't smoke and this hotel charged me a smoking fee of $150.00!!!! I tried to fight it with the hotel and credit card company. Hotel manager said they had evidence, such as cigarette butts. Which was bull(---) because they could have found those cigarette butts anywhere. Please beware....Scammers ...read more

Recently we had our wedding reception at Mill Race. We were overcharged approx $300. The management refused to reimburse us and wrote us a nasty letter saying that they verified the charges ahead of time with us. That was a total lie. What a great way to start married life! Beautiful place, but the end result was not worth it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They certainly do not value their customers. ...read more
