About Creston, IL

The village of Creston is a farming community located in Ogle County, Illinois, in the Rochelle metro area and its motto is, "Come farm with us." Major attractions within minutes of Creston include the Ellwood House Museum and Park and the Flagg Township Museum, with over 20,000 prehistoric and historic artifacts that are unique testaments to life in the Flagg Township area. The village of Creston is home to Creston Elementary School, a K-8 public school. One of the best places to visit when you are in Creston is nearby, 664-acre Franklin Creek State Park, where you'll find a grist mill and where you can enjoy activities such as picnicking, hiking, horse riding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, fishing and hunting.

No job to small -No job to large

Our motto is flexibility . We are geared for large remodel projects as well as small handyman jobs and  home repairs .  Maybe your kitchen needs work but the budget is tight . We can  do a professional paint job on them and replace hardware for a new look , or we could step it up and reface them for you . Both options are far more affordable than a total rip out . We can do that too but it is not in everybody's budget .  We have painted or refaced several kitchens and once they were completed the homeowners were very pleased and glad they went that route .   At first painting your cabinets just sounds low budget . It is a  money saver , but if done professionally  the results can be fantastic . The big advantage is color matching and color options . We have done several with a country kitchen look and they look great .   It is nice to tear everything out and start from scratch and the results can be beautiful . We would love to do it for you  , but if it is not in the budget consider these other options . You will be glad you did . Rochelle Laundry Remodel Project and new house cleaning services

We recently finished  the Rochelle Laundry project . It is now officially open - Yeah !!!!   It was a  long haul and had many surprises for all involved .  It was dormant for two plus years and previously had minor cosmetic done only . The owner committed to doing the job right and it now has all new electrical and plumbing  , new ada compliant bathroom and entrance , and  new machines that are energy efficient and very efficient for the customers .  A grand opening is in the works but they are open now and doing a fine business already . There is a definite need for a laundry on the south side .  It is a nice place to do laundry and is fully attended . We have lots of pics  of before and after to put on our website at jimshandyman.biz  . As soon as I catch a break I will get them on there .
