I have been shopping here for years. I have gotten so many personalized ribbons for communion, graduation, baby shower, baptism and they have always been done beautifully. I have always found whatever I needed to make my favors, if you don't see it just ask! They are very friendly and helpful and they do speak English and Spanish. I will be going there tomorrow in fact because I need to order ribbons for my daughter's baby shower. ...read more

To the person that forgot their card, the fact that you are disorganized does not make the store a bad place to shop. Stop giving the place a bad name. First Blog- What a Title
Greetings, Please bare with me. I am attempting to education and entertain you about Embroidery in the segment. Stay tune other insights about Essential Creations and this industry. Embroidery has been around for very long time. It was very done by hand by people that had extremely more patience than I. So I am grateful that machines were invented to product what we call embroidery. When I first started in this industry back in 1990, at Evans Furs it was created by a sewing machine guided by human hands. It was a lady there, that was great at doing guiding that machine with here hands and pushing the pedal with here right knee,( you could control the speed better that way instead of using a foot pedal). She would trace out the person's name on the lining of a fur coat and select a color thread and precisely guide the needle over the white tracing. It was exciting to see her artwork come to life. She was the best in the industry at the time. There were a few other furriers in downtown Chicago that had monogrammer but Evans was known for creating some unique lettering for the lining of the coats. So she taught me on that machine as well as on the computerize embroidery machine. Needless to say I caught on quicker on the computerized machine. Computers were in my system, even though at the time the only thing we could do was program the names and font style and place the fabric in the hoop to go under the needle's foot. Then watch the machine go. There were some technical concerns we had to overcome for each garment we handle. For example not to sew the lettering on an angle so it would appears lopsided, on sew on the under lining where the customer could not put the garment on because both sides were sewn together(ugh) I used to hate when that happens because I have to take the embroidery out and re sew it in right. But on one occasion after I worked there over a year, I thought I could make no more mistakes. I sew the lining together and it was a Sable Fur, (30,000 at the time) the lining was super expensive, the supervisor was very upset because this coat had to be relined at the company's cost because of my mistake.
