Cenacle Convent

I don't know if I have the right adres of the Cenacle convent, but I want to leave a very important message to sr. Wil de Voogt who is living in the Cenacle at Ressurection,7370 West Talcot Avenue, Chicago. I hope that there will be someone who is going to explain her that her best friend Joke Vermeer-Bruin (my mother) who is living in the Netherlands passed away yesterdayafternoon. Please tell sr de Voogt that she passed away in a peacefull way without suffering and pain. Her cremation will be on wednesday at 4:00 pm. We will send sr. de Voogt a card, but I would be very thankfull when someone will explain her this sad news, because it's hard to call sr. De Voogt, because she can't hear anymore, so communication is very difficult. I hope she will pray, and light a candle for my mother. Thank you for your help to bring her this message. We have just returned from a great holiday in Chicago made even more special by the quality of the accommodation at 1 Superior Place. When we opened the door to the apartment all we could say was Wow! The view from the 39th floor was wonderful and to have dual aspect was a bonus. The quality of the fittings was the best we have had and the luxuries of a dishwasher, washer/dryer was a bonus. Two minutes from a bus stop, 3mins from the subway and so many amenities on the doorstep makes this a great location for seeing the city. We had trouble getting the TV to work and all we had to do was phone the management and it was all sorted out. The door staff were lovely and very helpful but the highlight of our stay was the visit in the lobby one afternoon of the animal rescue bus to try to persuade residents to adopt a small cat or dog. They were so cute that I could have brought them all home. This really is a cut above the rest and the wholefoods supermarket on site is expensive but superb. ...read more
