I was relocating for a new job and MiniMoves were awesome. They came on time, loaded everything up (I had about 26 boxes of varying sizes and weights) within 45 minutes, and were on their way. I moved down here less than a week later and about 3 days afterwards, got the call they were coming to deliver. Both guys on either end were pleasant and professional. My property was delivered in a timely fashion, intact. Also, the contact agent I spoke with (the one you speak with initially to get all your ducks in a row, so to speak) was very pleasant as well. Granted, a couple of the boxes I had were a bit mangled when they were delivered but such is the process of working with a freight company...Other than that, no blatant/upsetting damage. I am very, very grateful for Mini Moves. I can't say enough good things about them. Shipping my belongings from Chicago to New Hampshire was seamless. My mother decided to downsize her home several months ago. Her house sold quickly. She had a number of antiques that she wouldn't fit in her new apartment. I had about a week to find a mover to ship home the few pieces that I couldn't part with. I stumbled across Mini Moves online. Like most moving companies, I found mixed reviews. I understand that this is not a perfect industry. It's easy for problems to arise when shipping our belonging across town, not to mention cross country. I used their service recently. I was nervous because they did not give me exact time to pick up my stuffs. I had to reserve the elevator in my new place. They were on time, in fact, got my place 15 minutes earlier. They were very professional and efficient..! It took only 2 hours and half to finish up all moves! I think when you're planning a move you might not anticipate how much stuff you have and how much time it will take. We were given an hourly rate and an estimate based on our description of our stuff. In reality, on move day, we had a lot more stuff and it took a lot longer than I had anticipated. While we were extremely prepared to move and it still took 7 hours. We were given an estimate of 2,000lbs of stuff, but in reality we had about 7,000lbs of stuff. But my husband and I felt that the workers never slacked off and did a reasonably good job moving our things. They were professional and nice guys. We used Mini Moves after being referred to them from another moving company who could not handle our move from Chicago to Baltimore. The movers who came in Chicago were fantastic! Our move took a lot longer than expected because miscalculated how many boxes we had and that there were small steps in our apartment but the movers took their time to handle everything. Our doorman even commented on how professional and great our movers were. The only hiccup we had was our delivery did not happen on the date we were told. My in-laws had to drive a second time to Baltimore to receive our stuff but Mini-moves agreed to refund us 10% for the inconvenience and delay. I just used MiniMoves to move furniture (no boxes) from my parents' apartment in Milwaukee to Chicago -- great job all around. From TK, who handled the initial logistics and estimate, to the dispatcher (can't remember his name, but great) to the dream team of Michael and Willy, top quality experience. I had an amazing experience with MiniMoves. I moved about 25 boxes from Chicago to Indiana and didn't need to lift a finger (well, besides the packing obviously). Everyone I talked with in customer service was polite and helpful and made me feel very comfortable in entrusting all my possessions with them. They gave me general and money-saving packing tips for the move, and took care of everything on their end. I needed only make my trip and await the boxes on the other end. Delivery took about 7 business days, arriving well within the time window MiniMoves quoted. Not only was the experience wonderful, but they offered by far the cheapest price. The 2 guys showed up 15 minutes early, were very polite, got started right away, and finished early, and adjusted my bill, and saved me a few dollars. The first crew that moved us was Carlos, Omar and I can't remember the other guys name! They were very professional, respectful, very hardworking, extremely quick, and efficient.
