Want to know how I know that? He uses the same misspelled word in each of them. His use of "there" when it should be "their" is the dead giveaway. The odds of that being mere coincidence are basically nil. ...read more

My basement has had seepage for many years. It stays dry most of the time but during certain rains it seeps into my basement more than others. We tried to have it fixed in the past but noone has ever got it fixed right. We called all fields of concrete up and they came out. I met with the owners son who then called his dad up. They figured all the reason that i was getting seepage. They fixed a couple foundation cracks and did what none else ever thought of or tried. That brought a mini bulldozer and brought the ground down a few inches next to thewall where i have been getting seepage. I guess the water has beel flowing into the house through the bricks cause the outside ground was way to high. I am so glad these guys got it right. Now i am ready for the big chicago rains this spring ...read more

Checking On Your Concrete Contractor in Chicago

How to find a qualified concrete contractor may be a dilemma for many consumers. So many contractors that are performing concrete work are totally unqualified to perform the work. They do not possess the necessary skills to perform the work properly. This accounts for so much of the awful concrete work that you see all over. Here in Chicago the consumers are protected by the City of Chicago’s Department of Buildings. In order to get a concrete contractor’s license in The City of Chicago, all concrete contractor applicants to are required to take an intense exam, that tests their competency in concrete procedures and theories, and steel reinforcement procedures and theories. The failure rate for the City of Chicago Concrete Contractor’s test is quite high. That is great for the consumer since the City of Chicago weeds out the incompetent concrete contractors. Here at All Fields of Concrete Construction, we recommend that anyone getting any concrete work done. Check the City of Chicago’s Licensed Concrete Contractors list and make sure that their prospective concrete contractors are on the City Of Chicago’s list, If you go to our Website www.allfieldsofconcrete.com there is a link on our website to the City of Chicago’s Department of Buildings Licensed Concrete Contractor’s list. Many Contractors work out of the scope of their license. Meaning they will show you a basic General Contractor’s license and fraudulently tell you that they can do the work themselves. A general contractor is required to hire a licensed concrete contractor to perform concrete work. Herein lies the fraudulent part where the consumer gets conned , The general contractor deceives the consumer by telling them that they can do the work and instead of hiring a qualified licensed by the City of Chicago Concrete Contractor. They perform the work themselves using unqualified workers on their staff. The problems from unqualified workers performing concrete might be evident right away, most of the time the problems appear within a couple months to a few years. We also recommended you looking up the prospective concrete contractors on the Better Business Bureau’s website and see what their rating is and how long that they have been in business. You can go to our website www.allfieldsofconcrete.com and find a link to the Better Business Bureau We also recommend that you have your concrete contractor put you down as a certificate holder on their General Liability Insurance policy. That will assure you that they are insured and that their policy is enforced. If you are in need of a concrete contractor in the Chicagoland area feel free to give All Fields of Concrete Construction a call at (773) 735-1794 We have been around since 1988 and are a fully licensed and insured concrete and structural contractor. We are also proudly rated A+Plus by The Better Business Bureau ...read more

Great Time For Those Labor Intensive Concrete Projects.

The Spring is officially here today. There will be nice days like tomorrow where we will hit 60 degrees. We will be using that day to pour or first concrete stair replacement job here in Chicago. Yet if you look at next week we will be in the 30's quite a bit.  That makes this the perfect time of the year to start labor intensive projects where concrete will not be poured right away.  A good project for this time of the year is a complete garage floor replacement. Where we would come in and lift your garage about a foot in the air.  Break out your concrete garage slab with jackhammers. Level and compact your base. Then pour your new garage slab. We even include new anchor bolts, so your garage does not fly away  with severe winds. We then transfer your garage from our shoring equipment down on to your new slab. Then we make the necessary adjustments to your side entrance door and your main garage door. As you can see there is quite a bit of work involved.  Yet we only need one good day of weather to pour. That is why we like to do labor intensive projects during this time of the year and the late fall. So if you are thinking about replacing your garage floor , or you need your foundation replaced or any other labor intensive concrete replacement projects, give us a call at All Fields of Concrete Construction.  our number has stayed the same for the last 26 years (773) 735 - 1794 We are an A+Plus Rated Accredited Member of the Better Business Bureau  and have held membership Since 1995 ...read more
