I purchased $7000 worth of jewelry for Christmas at this fine establisment, including a diamond bracelet. The bracelet was manufactured (by design) to fit a gorilla, not a woman. At the time of purchase, the salesman indicated that when it was re-sized, they would "work something out" to repurchase the extra links from me. Whoa! Surprise, surprise. I made a set of earings from a few links, and but now stuck with a few remaining diamonds and bracelet fragments. Buy them back? Give me a modest store credit? The salesman went through the routine of 'asking the manager' only to tell me they valued the remanants of the bracelet at .... $0. What a scam--I would have taken $100 just on principle. So here is the scam: make at bracelet 120% of normal size, charge for it, and let the customer be unhappy with the outcome.
