The village of Chebanse, which means "duckling" in the Potawatomi language, is located in Iroquois County, Illinois. Major attractions include Jesse Belle Lane Memorial Park, where you can go swimming, fishing and picnicking and the Chebanse Civic Center, which features a history room. One of the best places to visit when you are in Chebanse is the nearby Kankakee River State Park, with fishing, canoeing, camping, hunting, picnicking, trails, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and horseback riding.
