It's a shame what the Campus Living Villages company has done to this building since taking over. This used to be one of the hottest dorms on campus and is now probably one of the worst. Do not be fooled by their show of a tour they put on for you. Everything is cheap. The corporate offices are looking to squeeze as much profit out of the building as they can and will do it at everyone's expense. They do not care about the residents of the staff. Everything in this building is always broken, including that theater they show off, ping pong supplies, printer, washing machines, everythinggg, the food is cheap and taste-less, you can hear your neighbors doing the dirty since the walls are so thin, and its way over priced. We have dined at this location a few times and have usually had a pleasant experience. This time however was a little different. We were told our wait would be 5 minutes when in fact it was more like 15. It seemed like they may have been short staffed because our waitress was very inattentive. When she did finally bring us our checks both my friend and my checks both totaled $13.09 each. We both paid with $20 bills, and she brought us both back $6 each. Now, I'm pretty sure I know basic math and that by giving her a $20 bill that my change would have been $6.91 if my check was $13.09. This was VERY irritating, and I felt like I was being forced to tip when in fact it is my choice if and how much I choose to tip. I would have given her the $.91 plus a couple dollars, but by doing this she lost the rest and only got what she FORCED me to tip. I live 1,000 miles away and was back for a week on vacation. This really turned me off from ever coming back here next time I'm on vacation. I'll go somewhere where I won't get forced to tip my waitress. ...read more
