About Brownstown, IL
The village of Brownstown is located in Fayette County, Illinois. Major attractions within minutes of Brownstown include the William Jennings Bryan Museum and the Ben Winter Museum, home to fifteen steam engines and several gas and oil engines and other antiques ranging from Victrolas to Linotype machines to a complete pipe organ. Each year in July, the Fayette County Fair is held here. One of the best places to visit when you are in Brownstown is the nearby, 3,103-acre Stephen A. Forbes State Park, with picnicking, swimming, fishing, boating, camping and trails.
