So, first the positive. He didn't curse at us, didn't punch my wife, and found a few outlets that had an open ground. So, basically, he managed to properly operate one of those $5 outlet testers, filled out the inspection booklet you can get online, and wasn't a huge jerk. That's surely good for two stars.However, he overlooked sooooo many things. On a photo he took through the access hole into the attic (he didn't enter the attic, just stuck his hand through with a camera), light was visible through the roof by the chimney. My wife and I are buying our first home and Alan Toliver Home Inspections was highly recommended by a couple people at work. During the inspection, Mr. Toliver showed detailed pictures of the house (good and bad spots) and took the time to patiently walk us through. He pointed out issues that needed to be resolved before the purchase and more interestingly those issues that were fine for now but would need fixed in the future.
