About Fruitland, ID
Fruitland, Idaho is a town of 3,805 located in Payette County. Fruitland was named so because of its numerous apple orchards. Its slogan is “The Big Apple of Idaho.” It is 50 miles west of Boise and on the Oregon border. Each September, Fruitland hosts the Family Fun Day and in December, it hosts Christmas in the Park. The schools in Fruitland are the Fruitland Elementary, Intermediate, Middle, and High School. The Idaho Pizza Factory is a favorite restaurant in Fruitland. Fruitland doesn’t have many attractions, but it is across the Idaho River from Ontario, Oregon, which offers such businesses as Holiday Inn, Wal-Mart, the Sizzler restaurant, and the Holy Rosary Medical Center.
