I have worn glasses since age of 3. Now 52yrs old. Had +4.25 both eyes. Was told I was candidate- even though I screen for very dry eyes. I was not able to have normal Lasik but could have PRK. Was told recovery time was longer. (actual doctor told me it would be like being a WEEK behind someone who had regular Lasik ). My friend had the regular Lasik done was 100% in less than 2 weeks. other I now were about the same. I had mine done 5.5 months ago and still am blurry. Don’t get me wrong I can function without any glasses but 20/20 NO!(20/40 now) Got new OTC eye drops today and told to go on a omega 3 fish oil pill and come back in 2 months, so it will be almost 8 months. At 9 months they will see if I am still getting better or leveled out and not getting better. Then need a touch up – free as I got the life time. BUT was told after I got my contact bandages off at day 9 I would have ”HD clear vision” I really regressed back about a week at I had inflammation on eyes and causes the blurriness. I also was told that I need to have this PROCEDURE done before the Lasik $169 (to rid my eye lashes of the bacteria we all have in them) and I was told “ it should be covered on my health insurance most all insurance company’s cover it” per Dr Gould. When I sent in the paper work provided by LVI to my insurance company it was denied because there IS NOT a 5 digit procedure code for what they did- NO insurance company pays without a 5 digit code period- they had to know this at time of service. Dr. Hoisington is very arrogant and rude. Tells patients they need a procedure when they really don't-just to get his money. Staff is terrible, unorganized, and rude. AVOID THIS PLACE! ...read more

I missed an appointment with January Kim who promptly sent me a letter to terminate services for me. When I went to Dr K's office almost 10 years ago they saved my life. I met with an excellent counselor who helped me so much. January was able to prescribe medication that has made my life so much better. After many changes and adjustments to my medication I have been able to function again. Over the years I did miss a few appointments though I have no idea how many. I have been working night shift the past few years which at times makes it tough to know what day it is, or what time of day sometimes. Well, I missed an appointment on Monday morning. I overslept and it is completely my fault. When I called they wouldn't reschedule me and said they were terminating services due to to many missed appointments. I feel like I have been treated unfair in this situation and I want others to know how quickly this office will drop you. I had no warning that I was in jeopardy of being dropped. While the office always called to remind me of appointments in the past. This time they neglected to call. On the K&A website Dr K says his goal is that everyone leaves feeling better than when they arrived. That was true for a long time. However, they left me out in the wind with no idea what to do now. I would venture a guess that January had no idea how many visits I missed in the past when I missed that day. My guess is she came in to work on a monday in a bad mood. When I missed my appointment I was out the door. Dr K has a lot of excellent staff working for him and they do great work. I would have given them a 5 on this page before this happend.
