Sidney is a part of the Fremont County region/metro area of Iowa. Major attractions include Fremont County Golf Course and Sidney Recreation Area. Each year in the summer season there is the Annual Sidney Rodeo. Among the biggest companies in Sidney are Penn Drug Co and Parenting Challenging Children Seminars. The biggest schools here are Sidney High School and Sidney Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Sidney is Waubonsie State Park.

Thought I would give Sidney, Iowa our new buisness since we just moved into towm. Went to Knox Body Shop to have an oil change. Actually, it was my wife that brought the car in. I found out later that day they charged $35.26 for just a simple oil change. Next time I will go too Walmart for $29.00, It's tough times and every dollar counts. JK ...read more

I've owned a lot of animals, and lived in lots of different places. I gave on on "big city" veterinarians when it became apparent that for most, it's all about the money. \t\n\t\nOur chihuahua had been run over by a motorcycle, and would have died in a city clinic while waiting for "specialist" to come in that wanted $800 just to look at him. We pulled him out and went to a small-town vet, who did major surgery and boarded our little buddy for the grand total price of $200. Quality of care? He lived 11 years before we finally (and reluctantly) had to have him put down for major arthritis issues. When we returned to Fremont county to stay, we found Fremont County Veterinary Clinic to be equally excellent. \t\n\t\nSmall-town vet clinics like this one, where they work on all sorts of animals, not just city pets, are the finest the profession has to offer. This is the clinic-o'-hicks that is in cahoots with the psycho-jerk-mayor of randolph, who has put a $5. bounty on all stray cats and dogs caught in that town. On the front page of the city of randolph's website, it makes a joke out of the strays and pets that are captured being good for 'a pack of smokes'.and the victims of this are euthanized at THIS vet clinic. What veterenarian would be so void of conscience to take part in this? Makes you wonder how much the vets there really care about animals. \t\nYour pets need a vet that Cares- go a few miles more to Clarinda or Shen. for their sake. ...read more
