On my honeymoon, rented some movies from the owner he came in rented them to me saw I had candles and wine. He said nothing later he came back to bring another movie and starts accusing me of smoking in his cabin. Then tells me I'm trying to cover it up with the candles... then threatens to call the police on me. Then says he is gonna come check on us a few times tonight to be sure we aren't smoking in his cabin. Psycho forgot to take his evening medicine... I don't recommend it. Whispering Breezes Resort Cabins

I first went to Whispering Breezes last year. I went for a long weekend in October. This spot is fantastic for a getaway. It is very secluded and there is plenty of space between the cabins. Each cabin has a huge cattlemans grill over the large firepit so no need for a grill! There is one community grill if you need it located in the middle of the cabins. Lake Rathbun is within walking distance with plenty of catfish ready to bite your hook! The host and hostess are very friendly and are on the spot with anything you may need. Cabins are furnished with everything you need but food and such. I don't even have to pack a cooler when I leave my house. No blankets plates towels....none of that. I just grab my fishing gear and stow it at the cabin then head to Walmart in Centerville to get groceries and stow them in the fridge. SO EASY! I immediately booked the same cabin after I got home last October for Memorial Day and Labor Day this year and will do the same for years to come. ...read more
