About Little Rock, IA
Little Rock is a city in Lyon County, Iowa along the Little Rock River. In the nearby town of Larchwood; in July 2008, Kehl Management and Lyon County Economic Development proposed a 200 acre casino and golf resort about one mile from the South Dakota border. The Lyon county voters approved the proposal in September 2008. In July 2009 the South Dakota legislature approved a casino in Sioux Falls. This was seen as an attempt to block the Larchwood casino. Local businesses in Little Rock include Kent’s Plumbing & Heating, Diy4x and Farmers Coop Society.
