Marie was so helpful with our honeymoon planning. We called her a number of times prior to booking and she was kind enough to answer any and all things we needed. Once we made a decision to book, she took care of each and every detail. Even those details you don't think about (i.e. restaurant reservations) she made sure that everything was taken care of. She reminded us of why its worth using a travel agent! ...read more

Marie you are awesome!!! We booked our entire vacation with Travel to Maui. Marie had all the answers with many sugesstions on what we wanted to do how much we wanted to spend and where we wanted to stay. We could not be happier with the outcome. After all it was our first time to Maui and now we have a lifetime of great memories and hopefully more to come. Oue expectations were blown away from The Fairmont Hotel to the Old Lahania Luau my gosh we had such a awesome trip. Maybe we were lucky to have such a great trip but, we felt planning was a bigger key then anything and Thanks to Marie that all was taken care of. I could go into detail about our trip snorkling with the turtles sunset dinner cruise but, how about I just recommend Travel to Maui and Marie Goldt trust me you wont be sorry. Besides I just gave my Parents the low down on our trip and I know they will be contacting Marie and Travel to maui sooner rather then later.MahaloMarie ...read more

Fun things to do on Maui, Hawaii

5/30/12 Written by Marie Glodt travel agent at Travel toxml version='1.0' encoding='%SOUP-ENCODING%'Maui xml version='1.0' encoding='%SOUP-ENCODING%'  As a resident ofMauiand a Hawaiian travel agent I like to give my clients ideas of fun things to do while they are here. Many things are very inexpensive or in some cases FREE!   This can range from day trips you can do in your car. To great places have a picnic, go for a snorkel, or just sit and watch a great sunset onMaui.A popular day drive would be the dormantvolcano ofHaleakala Crater. This is a very popular destination at sunrise. Butdress warmly as even in the summer this 10,000+ summit is in the 40’s or sometimes colder!  As you can imagineMauiis a beautiful island blessed with wonderful weather year round. One of the many things I love aboutMauiis it has something for everyone.   Not a water person? Not to worry. We have great adventure tours you can take. For example a zip line cruise, or horseback ride in one of more rural sections of the island.   Love the water and want to snorkel on your own? The best location will be depending on the time of day (mornings are best) and the time of the year. Our surf swells come from the North during the fall and winter months, and the South during the summer and early fall. So what might be an awesome snorkel spot when your friends were here in December might be a terrible spot for you in the summer.   Want to see a waterfall up close? Then the road to Hana is for you. This 75 mile drive is best when planned as an all day event. The reason is the road is very curvy, narrow, and often times just one lane. The best tips I can give you for Hana would be:don’t go if you get carsick, pull over if you get a local behind you (or they will pass on a curve) and pack plenty to eat and drink. And don’t forget to fill up with gas before you leave your hotel!    One of my favorite beaches would beBigBeachin Makena. This is located on the south side ofMaui. This means expect big surf in the summer months and use caution as no life guard is present.   As you can see this is just a few of the many things there is to do here on the MagicalislandofMaui.   For more information or to set up a consulting appointment with one of our Maui Master Specialists contact us athttp://www.traveltomaui.net   Check out our reviews from past clients: http://www.traveltomaui.net/php/testimonials.php     Travel toMauiis a Hawaii Visitor and Convention Bureau member.   Travel toMauiis a Hawaiian Destination Specialist with the Hawaii Visitor Bureau and a Maui Master with the Maui Visitor Bureau     ...read more
