Iʻm from Makawao. I needed a little escape from the mountain and tried out The Makai Inn! Makai means Ocean and let me tell you, this place is right on the water!!!! No TV, No POOL at first was a bit odd, but that forced me to chill out and I did just that! Two night there and I was back to normal, all relaxed and got to enjoy The Feast of Lele Luʻau show. I would give these guys no stars if it were possible. They baited us with a condo, basically gave us the rate via email and then pointed us to pictures on their website. We called and spoke to Vinny who happily took our credit card and reservation. A short while later, Diane from the realty called and said she wanted to "make sure" we were looking at the right pictures of the unit. The unit they pointed out on the website was plain disgusting, which she happily called out had "tangerine" walls and was unit #31 and not #30. We called back to complain and she was rude and outright horrendous. She spoke over my wife and then eventually hung up. I called back to get no answer, and then when trying to leave a voice mail, there was no way to do so. HORRIBLE REALTY COMPANY.
