Reed Daniel DR Psyd

You should never have to have another therapist have to help you with the trauma and distress of another therapist. That traumatizing therapist is Dr Daniel Reed Psyd of Honolulu. He even has a bad rep with other doctors in the psych community of Oahu, the anti - therapist that'll mess a patient up further for another doctor to fix. He is a true puppet of the state, useless to the important people, patients, and only kept practicing because he's the puppet that'll wright what the state wants to read. If you go to an appointment of his and your not 100% haole (white) like he is you best bring a haole friend or relative along with you because Dr Daniel Reed doesn't care much for the natives here. I really don't get it when haoles from the mainland come here hating on the natives or people who aren't like them. You are now living in Hawaii in the middle of the Pacific ocean. What are you expecting? If people like Dr Reed want to comfortably live on an island with his own people then he needs to move to some place like Iceland or an island off of Norway or Sweden or something, not Hawaii where you most likely will have to deal with, oh I dunno, perhaps Hawaiians. ...read more

I call Dr Reed the Dark Ice King coincidentally. A shrink who's act like a sociopath who you don't want to know how many dead bodies he got in his garage. That's a scary and ironic thing. He's cold, creepy and no help at all. Worst shrink bin the island probably. No heart no emotion. ...read more

Beware, My experience is that he is a VERY COLD FISH, exhibited no emotions, caring or warmth of any sort. I was referred to him. I was told to bring any pertinent information with me to the appointment. My psychologist said it wasn't professional for her to give a copy to me, but it would be better to fax it directly to him...since the appointment was the next day. I agreed. From my psychologist office, with the phone on speaker phone I called and the conversation went something like this. Dr. Reed: "Dr, Reed," Me: "Aloha Dr. Reed, this is D***** N*******, I have an appointment with you tomorrow at noon." Dr. Reed: (Silence, not even an "Ok, how can I help you?") Me: Hello, are you there? Dr. Reed (More silence, then something unintelligible) Me: "I'm with my psychologist now and she would like your fax number to send her evaluation to you. She doesn't want to just give it to me to bring. Dr. Reed (after another long pause in a monotone voice) ...my fax is broken. (really???) Me: "Uhh, ok, uh, ... Dr. Reed: ...just bring it with you. (...I had already explained she wanted to send it securely...) Me: "But she doesn't want to release it to me, just wants to send it securely to you. Dr. Reed: (after another long pause, coldy, sarcastically and smuggly) ...I don't know what to tell her. Needless to say, I cancelled the appointment. He didn't even have the courtesy to say, "Tell her I'm sorry, but my fax is broken." Just a strange man with a strange attitude. ...read more

Dr. Ostroff has all this stuff online, books, articles, workshops so I thought she was some kind of expert that really cared. I came to her scared and desperate and bought into her seemingly genuine speech and promises. I did not have a lot of money and I told her that, but felt pressured into repeated visits, products, and more. I spent all this money on her care with no results. I cancelled my appointments because I literally couldn't afford to go anymore. She got angry ...read more

I am left feeling completely shaken and appalled by the rudeness of Dr. Dezzani. We went for a consultation with her and left before it was over. She was 45 minutes late to the consultation--which was ok, because I know that doctors are busy. When she did arrive she was unbelievably rude, curt, and dismissive. I would never take my child to see her, nor would I ever recommend her to someone. I will write this review on other review sites too. I would hope that no one else feels the way I do right now. Please seek another doctor if you are looking for a good one for your child. ...read more

Dr. Caputy is AMAZING!!!!!. I love his staff "Lisa and Kim" and his wife is so sweet too. I had Liposuction (by a different DR)while stationed in California and had great end results but alot of seepage ( I should have had JP drains with that other doctor".) So I am sure you can picture how scared I was to have a breast lift. Once we moved to Hawaii I started interviewing doctors. Dr. caputy made me feel so welcome and secure my husband and I booked my procedure right away! I had consulted 3 doctors before Dr,Caputy and had 2 more I was suppose to see but after my consult with Dr.Caputy I canceled them since I just knew he was the right one. I myself am a nurse and don't let the doctors know while they are talking to me at first because it is like my own little test to see how honest they are. Where some doctors do unnecessary procedures or try to get money out of you by combinding procedures and not worrying about your health or scaring Dr.Caputy is the complete opposite. I wanted a breast lift and small implant to round out my breast "thanks to gravity". Dr. Caputy did my lift in June and on this Monday will be inserting my implant. See most doctors will try to do it all at the same time with out giving you breast tissue time to settle and your scare time to heal so you have a hairline scare verses a half inch one from the implant pulling and stretching the skin while its trying to heal. I will update with my implant results next week after my surgery. I have showed many people his work and have a couple friends who are having work done by Dr.Caputy and even my boss who is going for a consult! \t\n\t\nP.S I had next to no pain with the lift (crossing my fingers) hope its the same with the implant!\t\n ...read more

When I went in to see Dr Caputy, he made me feel at ease from the moment I met him. His demeanor is professional, yet down to earth. He never made me feel like I HAD to do anything. In fact, he told me I SHOULD check out other doctors! I was concerned about how a breast augmentation would appear, professionally and as a parent, so Dr Caputy recommended ways that I could try out different sizes (what they look like) before actually getting the surgery. He didn't tell me I should go with a certain size/type, like all the other Drs did, rather, he asked more questions about what I wanted and WHY I wanted certain things. In fact, he was the only Dr that never made me feel like he was "better" than me just because he was the Dr & I was the patioent (what do they call that? God complex or something?). He NEVER spoke down to me (like I experienced elsewhere) and I would recommend his practice to anyone interested in be consulted verses being told what to do. ...read more

Dr. Atebara and the staff at the Retina Center are the very best in eye care. From the moment I walked into the office I felt I was in very good hands. A good staff makes or breaks a doctors visit. I had the pleasure of meeting them in the summer of 2010. I was getting married in Oahu, but the trip took a turn for the worst as a rare disease made my retinas detach and made hearing difficult. I went to the Retina Center on an emergency basis as I could barely see hand motions. Dr. Atebara's experience and timely response to my symptoms saved me from being permanently blind. After six weeks he stabilized me enough so I could travel back to the mainland, Dr. Atebara is very knowledgeable on alot of specialist throughout the United States. He referred me to a specialist here in Los Angeles who on the first visit may take a few weeks to get an appointment. Dr. Atebara's staff got me an appointment within one week. My family will never forget the care and kindness that I received from them during this scary moment. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Atebara and his staff for saving my vision and preserving my quality of life. ...read more

From the moment I met Dr. Chekuri, I felt that I found the right doctor. He listens, he gives answers and he takes action. He signed me up for classes to better understand my kidney problems and choices of treatment, he provided me with information on what I could expect in the future and I received calls from other providers he had contacted regarding kidney transplant, and the various types of dialysis.that are available. I feel that I can ask him anything and that I can trust him. My prescriptions and orders for lab work are always waiting for me.. If I need to call him or his office, I know that I will always receive a timely reply. It has been a very good experience to have a compassionate, efficient and caring doctor. ...read more

I was completely dissatisfied and disgruntled with their services. I bought a groupon for laser hair removal, and went in for my first treatment- which was satisfactory. However, when I came in for my second treatment I was in extreme pain, I complained to the nurse 4-5 times of the pain, and she had to stop three times due to my discomfort. I told her this was not normal, as I've had 4 laser hair treatments in the past. She suggested that the level be turned down on the second underarm- which went along with little to no discomfort. However the underarm she had already done immediately blistered and I suffered immense pain for 3-4 hours. I work with Doctors who saw the dark brown burns, as they covered my entire underarm. They informed me these were 3rd degree burns- no wonder I was in so much pain. When I went back to Dr. Gregory Caputy, I told him how upset I was with his nurse that she did not turn down the settings the first time i told her I was in pain, instead she burned my entire underarm before figuring it out- how was I to know, I am not the trained expert! I told him a Doctor had told me I'd suffered 3rd degree burns, and quickly became insolent- quipping back " well, why don't you just go see that doctor to finish up your treatments instead of coming back here!". I was in such shock at his hostility and unprofessionalism. He quickly back peddled when his nurse left the room, and said that I wouldn't be scarred, I'd just have permanent pigment discoloration- which is to me, an altered, worse state than what I started with. \t\n\t\nThe first nurse that did my treatments was wonderful, however- please stay away from the Blonde girl who speaks with an accent. Many of my friends also bought this groupon and suffered the same burns that I did from this woman. ...read more

Naturopathic medicine Promotes Permanent Weight Loss

Why Some Weight Loss Programs Fail Failure to identify contributing factors in weight gain Not being realistic about the time that it takes for permanent healthy weight loss. Expect your dietary and exercise changes to be lifelong habits. Plan to take 24-36 months to attain your ideal weight. Constipation Poor digestion Mental/emotional issues. Mental and emotional issues in our lives affect our eating habits and our relationship with food. For many people, it is necessary to address this component of health in order to attain permanent weight loss. Intestinal yeast imbalance Wrong dietary plan Not being realistic about the time that it takes for permanent healthy weight loss. Expect your dietary and exercise changes to be lifelong habits. Plan to take 24-36 months to attain your ideal weight. Inability to burn total calories being consumed Water retention Food sensitivities Poor liver function Deficiency of essential nutrients needed for normal metabolism Food sensitivities Intestinal yeast imbalance Toxic metals stored in fat tissue Poor carbohydrate metabolism  Here are Natural Ways to Weight Loss: Exercise. Exercise helps reduce weight. Research shows that frequency of exercise is the most important factor in weight loss. Duration of exercise is the second most important factor. Exercise has important benefits: Increases lean body mass, which automatically increases your metabolism – muscle tissue has a higher metabolic rate (burns more calories) than adipose (fat) tissue. Improves mood, improves sleep, improves balance and coordination, lowers blood sugar, improves insulin sensitivity, improves immune system function, improves circulation, lowers blood pressure, lowers LDL (“bad”) cholesterol, raises HDL (“good”) cholesterol and overall significantly reduces the risk of heart disease. Consult your physician before starting any exercise program. Dietary plan. Never use a low calorie diet again. This is not a diet. Banish the word from your vocabulary. Replace it with “I choose to live a particular way that includes a moderate amount of good clean food, regular exercise, relaxation, fun, time for myself and caring for myself and others.” Atkins Diet…Zone Diet…Low Fat Diet… They all share a common flaw: a “one size fits all” approach. Naturopathic physicians can work with you to determine the lifetime eating plan that is right for you which will promote overall health as well as permanent weight loss. Stress Management. If you have hormonal imbalances that are caused by chronic stress, stress management will help with weight loss. It is often necessary to take a hard look at how one reacts to stress from mental/emotional issues in one’s life and how to resolve/manage/change these responses to be more healthy. Nutrition. Difficulties losing weight are often related to deficiencies in nutrients which are necessary for proper metabolism. If fats can’t be broken down properly, weight loss is difficult or impossible. Nutrients such as B-vitamins, lipoic acid, iron, magnesium, manganese, chromium, L-carnitine and Co-enzyme Q-10 are essential for proper metabolism of fats and carbohydrates. Nutrients necessary for proper thyroid function include tyrosine, iodine, selenium, zinc, and copper. Food cravings and insulin resistance can also be due to nutrient deficiencies. Botanical (Herbal) Medicine Botanical medicine may be used to promote weight loss in a variety of ways: Support and tonify adrenal or thyroid glands. Support proper metabolism. Help with stress reactions and relaxation. Supplement Quality Is Important Nutritional and botanical supplements used in these treatments are intended to have a physiological effect and clinical benefit, i.e., they are effective and your health improves. Read our article on choosing a supplement to learn more about how to achieve the best results from your supplements. What Should You Do Next? The Harmony of Mind and Body through Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine teaches us that all disease begins with the emotions.   Anger can disrupt liver function; fear can impair kidney function; anxiety can destroy the heart;  worry may dampen the energy of the spleen; and resentment will weaken the digestive system. Conversely, healing and repairing imbalances in the physiology of our organs can lead to a lighter, healthier attitude and emotional balance.  Health is a MIND/BODY/SPIRIT interactive dance.  Each partner in the dance must have well balance, well nourished and practiced choreography in order to acquire and maintain dynamic health. Acupuncture, Cupping, Acupressure, Herbal formulas, and Qigong are common forms of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture can help treat addictions and Cupping is used to relax tense muscles from strain. Herbal formulations of plants can help with infections within the body and Acupressure can promote better blood circulation. Qigong which incorporates posture and body movements can help with mental health and focus. Incorporating the teachings and practices of this ancient medicine into our daily lives can help us find balance and harmony within ourselves. ...read more
