About Warm Springs, GA
The favorite vacation spot of U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the small city of Warm Springs, Georgia is a charming town nestled in the piney hills of the west-central part of the state. Now dotted with quaint shops and restaurants, Warm Springs gained popularity in the 1800s for its healthful mineral springs and spas, which attracted even FDR, who suffered from polio. Roosevelt built a home in Warm Springs which became known as the Little White House. Today, a museum filled with interesting artifacts, stands on the property and a nearby F. D. Roosevelt State Park offers first-rate camping facilities.
