Ethics? Shady Home Inspectors in Atlanta
I was talking with a fellow home inspector today. He was telling me how he does home inspections and home repairs. I told him I do as well. That is where the similarity of this inspector and myself end. He told me that it was a great way to get some extra money because if the customer needed a home repair he would offer his services. I think I must have knocked his socks off when I said that could bring about some questionable ethics. This guy had no idea about social responsibility or ethics because he hurried off. I thought that he may or may not ever have any trouble from how he was running his business, but it wasn't right. How could he do an inspection and then say he would fix what is wrong? How would the customer even know if they were being bamboozled? Beware of home inspectors who tell you there are major problems and then start giving estimates on how much you can pay them to fix it.
