Allstar Mechanical was sent out by our home warranty company. The shower in our master bath was only supplying hot water. The "master plumber" (laughable) who was deployed by Allstar came to the conclusion that the shower was plumbed for two hot water lines. The only troubleshooting the “master plumber” did was to turn off the supply to the hot water heater. For some reason he turned the hot water heater to the hottest setting (it was on low) which is a safety hazard (I have two small children in the house). He was more than willing to give us a 500 dollar quote to rip open the walls and run a new cold water line which would not solve the problem since we already have exactly one hot water line and one cold water line run to the shower. The “master plumber” also managed to track muddy footprints throughout the house. I had read all the bad reviews and was sure I couldn't count on them but so far so good. I asked a lot of them and they delivered and explained everything even after I called the EPA. My house is cool so I will see and if there is a problem I will give them a chance to fix it first. ...read more
