Best catfish in South Georgia! I love those girls up there. Just like the name says it's not fancy, it's styrofoam and plastic but the fried oysters are the best you ever tasted and make sure you start with a mullet backbone ( dont knock it till you try it) and their homemade pickles. Bermuda Plantation sits on the outskirts of the very "Laid Back" south Ga town of Leary, Ga. It was once the home for about 100 people who worked on the farm. It was sold and the people moved into the city. I pass through there about once a year. It has changed drastically, but still brings back fond memories of my childhood. Swimming in the sand hole, Mudding, the great friendships and my total maturation you might say. Had we not moved into the city, i probaly would be farming today. Shoot, I always wanted to drive a tractor, just as my dad did. Enough of that. Bermuda Plantation has withstood the test of time and the ole "Massa" that lives there is now an Old Man like the rest of us. Live on Mudifield, because the people have long moved on. ...read more
