About Hartwell, GA
Hartwell is the county seat of Hart County, Georgia and was named for the Revolutionary war hero Nancy Hart. Hartwell is known for its historic sites, antiquing, and golf courses. Hart County High School is one of the town's largest schools. Larger employers include the Heartwell Golf Club and the Cateechee Golf Club. Hartwell hosts the annual Loch Hartwell Highland Games & Scottish Festival and the Spring Fever Regatta. Area attractions include Lake Hartwell, the Cherokee Assembly Ground Center of the World, and Clem's Shoal Creek Music Park.
