Sally Beauty Supply

5.0

By beckvan

I've been shopping here for over 6 years and the staff have outstanding customer service, suggesting products, offering advice on products etc. The most unique quality about the staff is that they are not hawking products or trying to make as many sales as possible. Instead, they have a honest approach and will inform you of the pros ...read more

Sunny Beauty Supply

I've patroned this store for three years, buying pricey hair weaving products and hair,(thousands of dollars by now 3.5 yrs later). I have never been so humiliated in the course of a routine business transaction as I have here! I asked to exchange a pack of hair that was the wrong color. I was asked to step aside after having waited online, after dealing with the (purchasing customers) the cashier asked me to see my receipt... after a long, rude verbal chastisement about exchanges, she called the other location 10 minutes away ( There are 3 in Douglasville operated by the same @$$%*!#$) sent me to exchange there at which location I was spoken to like a second class citizen yet AGAIN! Before being told He would not be exchanging my merchandise because he didnt like the condition of the packaging ( apparently there was a label or sticker missing) that he insisted would complicate resale. No Customer Service! Ridiculous Sale Policies! Over All A Very Nasty Demeanor @ all 3 locations! Go to US Beauty on Fairburn instead! Much better encounter! ...read more

Fantastic Sams

2.0

By AshleyRenee524 at Citysearch

Well, I give Fantastic Sams two stars for a few reasons. Last time I went in, about three months ago, I asked for an edgy look, something modern, about 1 inch above the shoulder. I told her to "have fun" if I hate it or it's too out there, it'll grow back. Well, my haircut was predictable and matronly. A common haircut that I have had a million times before. "Simple Bob". They simply don't take risks. If I wan't something common and simple, I'll pay $7 at Great Clips. If I am going to spend $20-$30 for a cut, I want something a little better, to reflect the additional cost of the cut. Really, if you want something unique, go somewhere else, and if you are looking for something simple, pay less at a big chain. ...read more

The glue free quickweave and the invisible part

WARNING: According to the state board of Cosmetology and Dermatology, Quickweaves when created with gel/spritz and a nylon stocking cap over time cause a fungus that creates permanent hair loss /alopecia. A quickweave, also known as bond-in, glue-in, stocking cap quickweave, hard wrap, ect. Is a process where all or some of your natural hair is molded creating a flat base, a stocking cap is used to cover that base in an effort to protect your hair and wefts of hair is then glued onto that base. Unfortunately this method doesn't protect your hair from glue. There is also a technique called the removable stocking cap quickweave, where the hair is covered with paper&a; stocking cap.  This method is considered a custom made wig since it can be taken on and off. The difference between a regular quickweave and my glue-free quickweave™ is the protection level. Yes I still use glue, but I use a special technique that protects your natural hair 100% from bonding glue and eliminates the use for gel/spritz molds, stocking caps, mummy wraps and paper method. GUARANTEED! You have to see it to believe it! (pic on the left) The glue-free quickweave™ is water soluble which means once you are ready to remove your weave, you simple rinse it off with warm water for about 5 minutes with no worries of glue residue. It can be worn up to 4 weeks (some longer) but I DO NOT suggest going that length of time without cleansing your hair and scalp and since the product is water soluble, that means you can wear it safely for about 2 weeks (3 weeks is pushing it).The same rules apply with my glue-free quickweave™ as they do with a regular quickweave or bondi-in. You normally cannot wear a regular quickweave during swimming activities as this will cause your weave to loosen tremendously. Excersising on the other hand depends on you. If you tend to sweat profuciously then the glue-free quickweave™ or any quickweave for that matter may not be the right choice for you as the same loosening effect will occur. The invisible part weave is a natural part with no hair left out on your head. This is the newest method that i use when doing quickweaves an dit will last up to 3 weeks. The process does take 2-3 hours to install depending on the client and there hair needs. This service will cost $80 on normals days with hair included please see specials for discounted price and hair will not be included on those days. Pic to the right is example of a invisible part that i did and can do on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   ...read more
