I attended the Macon campus. The teacher singled me out in class I wasn't one of her favorites.She rolled her eyes every time I had a question ,she didn't have the answer for.Very unprofessional. The teacher was working on her degree. She hung out certain students. They all acted like they where in high school .They talked bout other students when they left the room, if they where not in their clique. Student come in from lunch drunk and high. never received any grants or loans and they suck them in and take that $12,500 and give them NO EDUCATION, yet the students think they're getting something because the don't know any better. They get their money and then you are forced to repay a massive loan and have no way of doing so. Young black women and men who have their futures ahead of them and instead of getting a DEGREE, they get this flimsy piece of paper called a CERTIFICATE that most employers laugh at like "API who?" And then when the smart ones realize that they have to go to a REAL school, there is this gaping $12,500 hole in their pockets that they owe and which is preventing them from going to a legitimate school. No one has received jobs from API Decatur which promises them and tells them over and over again every single solitary day that they will in fact receive.THEY GIVE NO JOBS! A selective few skools accept people without high skool diplomas or geds so in a sense what they do for tha uneducated and hood-stricken people that come in there is a light year away from where they could be. Api saved my life when i enrolled but since then i have acquired some skills worth saving,if tha streets is all yu know then maybe skool is what yu need to bring yu into a new light. Dont let your greatest life achievement be a hand to hand transaction that can get yu time that i wouldnt wish on anybody. We are all human and if yu rather go and give your money to them skools thats already rich be my guess but me i will look back on a more improved api and say,i helped build a skool that is willing to reach out to tha hood when nobody else would but sometimes yu cant help everybody. All people notice is tha bad part of a good thing as an excuse to keep doing what they know and thats throwin they life away.
