About Comer, GA
Comer is a city in Madison County, in the Athens Metropolitan area. The community was named for the family of settler A.J. Comer. Major nearby attractions include the Watson Mill Bridge State Park, featuring the longest covered bridge expansion in Georgia. You can enjoy camping, hiking, biking, horseback riding, canoeing, fishing and swimming in the South Fork River. Each year is the Annual Madison County Fair. The schools here are Comer Elementary School and Madison County Middle School.
