Your Childbirth Questions...

Pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period bring major changes in the life of a mother and her family.  Througout  this time of your life, there will be many unanswered questions that will come to mind.  Many mothers will turn to a family member, relative or friend for the answers they need, however, many women will turn to people who fill their minds with fearful stories.  Many mothers-to-be embrace the fear of others as a part of their own story unfolding.  This is very easy to do when you don't have a story of your own as a point of reference by which to relate.  Some women will turn to the internet seeking information and peace of mind, only to find that they feel more confused and their stress deepens and takes root as they self-educate, instead of surrounding themselves with women who have embraced and lived childbirth in a positive and beautiful way. No matter what your choice in approaching the birth of your baby, (whether your mindset be a natural childbirth or a medicated childbirth) the outcome of your pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum period is strongly influenced by the mindset you keep and the support in which you surround yourself with.  Your birth story will be a new story in history.  It will be a story that belongs to no-one else.  This story will be comprised of the people in your life who support you, the decisions you will make throughout your pregnancy and birth, and the choice that you make to take it one step at a time and not fear.  It is my hope that you will find peace and security in education.  If I can be of service to you by answering any questions you may have regarding pregnancy, labor, delivery and the postpartum period, please feel free to email us atu_wright@hotmail.com orphasesdoula@yahoo.com  Please send your questions via email to ensure privacy in service. Best Wishes for a healthy and safe birthing experience, Ursula J. Wright, BA, ICD, ICCE ...read more
