After facing the fact of surgery for my disabled mother, my family had to prepare to travel almost 100 miles from home during the winter (Feb. 2014). We were neither mentally nor financially prepared for this battle and needed help. We reached out to family and friends who assisted with locating an organization that was willing to help. Kudos to both the staff and board members at The Comfort House. These people really care about others and offer their assistance in any way they can.
