New Tbonz Opening Up in Evans!

A steakhouse that has been closed for the past two years is about to become a TBonz. Tom Jastrom, a partner in the new restaurant, said he expects to close July 26 on the former Stonecrest Southern Steakhouse location, which shut its doors in July 2010. “We had been looking for a while over there,” Jastrom said. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant at 601 N. Belair Road needs minor renovations and could be open within a month or two of the purchase date, Jastrom said. “It’s mostly just cosmetic,” he said of the work needed on the building. As many as 40 to 50 employees could work at the new TBonz Steakhouse. Stonecrest opened in October 2007 with hopes of becoming a chain of franchise steakhouses. http://chronicle.augusta.com/news/business/local-business/2012-07-18/evans-steakhouse-become-new-tbonz ...read more

The Augusta Community and Tbonz

Do you ever wonder what a restaurant actually gives back to a local community? ... other than good food and entertainment?  Well, let us tell you a little about what the Tbonz group does for Augusta!  We love Augusta and LOVE giving back. For the past 23 years, Tbonz has been privileged to work closely with Camp Rainbow, a day camp for kids with cancer and their siblings. The Camp Rainbow Foundation is dedicated to providing free camping experiences to children undergoing treatment for, and survivors of, cancer and other blood-related diseases and disorders.  Its mission is to provide a recreational and nurturing environment, under the supervision of a dedicated team of staff and medical professionals.  On Monday night of camp, Tbonz hosts 90 children from camp and provides dinner. After dinner Tbonz, along with other contributing members, provide these children with a night of fun at Adventure Crossing and top it off with a limo ride.  Tbonz is humbled to be able to partner with this organization as it is an opportunity for these children to relax and spend fun-filled days with other children in similar situations.  August is Camp Rainbow month at Tbonz—as they donate $1 to Camp Rainbow for every T-bone steak sold. Tbonz also provides local community support by partnering with Golden Harvest Food Bank, a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization that offers direct service programs, food pantries and community education about hunger. Each week, for more than two decades now, Tbonz has had the pleasure of sharing many of their menu items with Golden Harvest as a way to help meet the needs of the community. Golden Harvest Food Bank is a non-profit, charitable food distribution center that provides grocery products to the hungry within 24 counties in Georgia and South Carolina. Every Thanksgiving holiday Tbonz has the honor of feeding 450 children in need and their parents, with all extras going to Golden Harvest Food Bank.  During this holiday season Tbonz also delivers 100 to-go orders for patients and staff at the Medical College of Georgia. This service provides patients and their parents at the Children’s Medical Center a nice Thanksgiving dinner as they undergo treatment. It's the least we can do for being a part of such a great community!  Thank YOU, Augusta, GA! ...read more
