Why Steam over Dry for Carpet Cleaning?

Out of the 3 major dry systems "Host-/Encap"" Foam" and "Bonnet" there are several drawbacks when compared to steam. The most important negative of all 3 methods include none of them can remove mold spores, bacteria, sitting water or liquid and use no heat. As the buffer can spread around some dirt and appear to look improved it is still not cleaned in the end. The other two leave residue of either chemical or dry sponge particles. None of the "Dry" methods are recommend by the CDC to clean carpets or upholstery and furthermore none of these methods are approved by the major carpet mills and in some cases can even void warranties if used.    Steam cleaning via a heavy duty "Truck mount" unit that produces high heat, water pressure and vacuum is the choice method approved by the carpet mills and CDC and myself.  The hot water kills unwanted organisms and the powerful pull of the vacuum thoroughly removes most moisture and filth.  We have 2 decades of experience in Atlanta cleaning carpets and upholstery using only safe or "Green" solutions and are open for business. ...read more
