My neighbor had Premiere Tree Services remove a tree that was leaning toward her house. When she told me she chose them because they had a free estimate online, I figured I’d have them come take a look at my property to see if any of my trees needed to be removed. They came up with a very reasonable quote for tree pruning and didn’t try to overcharge me. I hired these so called professionals for some simple pruning, and they damaged several of my oldest Oaks. They turned out to be NOT insured, and the owner has a propensity to be away on vacation (he has been in jail during these times!!!). Be advised, try someone else. ...read more
Unfortunately many people don't know what to look for in a tree service company. Many people get ripped off or burned by unprofessional or fly-by-night operators because they don't know what to look for in a tree service. The first thing that you should look for in a tree service is obviously professionalism. This means individuals that know what they are doing and using vehicles and equipment that look professional and well maintained. Thetree serviceshould also be able to give you an estimate before they do any work. If they are unwilling or unable to give you an estimate you should not do business with them. A professional service should come out, look over your situation and provide you with an estimate before they do any work. This should be done at no charge. A legitimate tree service will not object if you get an estimate from another service. Always get a second bid if you think the first estimate sounds excessive. The tree service should also be able to give you references from satisfied customers. They should also have all business and contractor's licenses required in your area. Never deal with a tree service that comes to your house unsolicited. If somebody knocks on your door and offers to work on your trees tell them to get lost. No legitimate tree service operates that way. Finally a tree service should be insured and bonded so that you will be reimbursed for any damage done on your property.
