Don't park here!
Thieves have taken over this lot....the last few times I've been here, car windows have been broken out, and this time they got my vehicle. Obviously there is no security. It's unfortunate since there are few other places to park in this neighborhood, but I won't be parking here again.

There was a problem with our banking card working a block from our bank to stop fraudulent transactions happening. The guy refused to allow my wife to leave and held her against her will, The guy intimated that a sexual favor could be payment for release from the parking lot. They have threatened me for complaining I would give a Zero star if I could. See our website which details all the problems\t\n\t\nwww.standardparking.co

I tried to park at this lot, and it was completely full and unattended. The lot was full, and to leave I had to pay $14.00. I am disputing this charge on my credit card, and I will absolutely not pay.
By arawlin2 at Citysearch January 01, 2008 at 06:50 PMWorst customer service. You are paying them to ruin your car.
I have owned 3 separate cars (have been living here two years), and EVERY SINGLE CAR has been damaged by this garage. The manager (Reynold/GQ) and the owner are completely illogical, and never admit fault. I still have the three letters, and here is what they say (they just change what is in the <<Insert X Here>>:\t\n\t\nDear <<Name>>, \t\nI am contacting you in response to your claim filed regarding the Hawthorne House parking facility on <<Insert Date Here>>.\t\n\t\nOur investigation has not revealed any evidence of negligence that shows G.O. Parking was responsible for the scratches <<Insert Location of Damage Here>> on your <<Insert Make/Model of Car Here>>. In addition, we will not accept responsibility for any damages not reported prior to the vehicle leaving the garage. We require that car damage be reported while the vehicle is still on the premises so we can investigate immediately and determine liability. Therefore, we have determined your claim is not eligible for coverage.\t\n\t\nSincerely,\t\nRobert Dowler\t\nDirector of Client Services\t\ncc: Jeff Milio\t\n\t\nEach letter says the exact same thing, with the words replaced as mentioned above. If you look at there website, they gloat that they have the lowest insurance rates in the Chicago-land area, and this is why (because they deny each and every claim).\t\n\t\nThis is the WORST place to park your car, and Hawthorne House (management)should be ashamed of having such a poor company represent them. This is absolutely horrible that I have had to go through this 3 separate times. They also abuse your car beyond belief. I have video of them squealing tires of cars, and shifting the transmission while the car is still in motion. My brand new car has transmission damage after 9000 miles... Coincidence? I think not.
