Madness

I am a native-Japanese. I know good sushi. I went into Fujiyama about a week ago on a Saturday night with my boyfriend to pick up some take out because the other sushi restaurants were PACKED. This place seemed nice and we heard it just opened so why not give it a try? I know why. \t\nWell first, I went in about 7:00pm and there were no tables, except for a few employees eating in the front. I waited for about 15 minutes until someone came to assist me. The sushi I had ordered was completely wrong but I accepted it anyway. When I took my first bite I sensed a strong fishy smell that is only emitted when gone bad. They were small portions and the "fantastic" $1 sushi was not worth it.\t\nMaybe they're not overcrowded like the other places because they are unable to compete.\t\nNeedless to say I will not be returning and I would advise real sushi-lovers to go somewhere else!

Sushi-- Clarence Thomas would have loved it! Prediction: Closed again in 4 months.

Party of 9 on a Friday night. Got there at 6:30. Maybe 4-5 tables were full. Took us 30 minutes to get our drink orders, including us having to show the waitress how to mix a drink, because their bartender wasn't there (on a Friday night!!!). Waitress delivered an ice water down the back of my sister-in-law. My sushi roll took about 45 minutes to come out. My 2 pieces of eel nigiri took another 45 mins. About 15 mins later, the waitress brought me a roll that I didn't even order, then wanted to argue about it. Now here's the kicker-- one friend had a hair... ummm.. a youknowwhat hair... on her plate. We all freaked out, but it was just comical. Then my brother had a head hair on HIS plate. OK. We were done by that time. Took us 2-1/2 hours to get our very simple/small orders. Oh... and when we told the manager about the **** hair, he curiously replied, "Oh, we don't have ***** hair." OK. I have know idea if he even knew what we were talking about. This was the funniest/strangest meal I have ever had in my life. I certainly won't be back.

It took forever

Let me start off by saying the food was decent but definitely not worth the wait. The restaurant wasn't even busy it took us about 45 min to get the food, the waitress asked us only once for refills the whole time we were there and then they messed my check up and had to wait another 25 min just to get it corrected and reprinted.

HEADS UP!! GRAND REOPENING!!!!

As others have said we had to settle for other food since they have been closed.. So on the way to another resturant (abby roads) we passed the shopping center - there was a guy out front holding a sign on the corner.. saying GRAND REOPENING!!!.. YES thats right Grand ReOpening!!We stopped on the way back by just to verify .. the woman at the front.. extremely friendly said it was still the same owners but they moved the Hibachi into the kitchen.. whoopla.. whatever.. all that matters is that they are open again! Now the next step is to see if the food is great like it was before..! We are going tomorrow(sat) I will post then!!!!

Great food, great find

My boyfriend and I happened upon this place when we were starving. It was well after 10 on a weekday, we were the only ones there and the restaurant stayed open just to serve us. The sushi was good, the hibachi good. The drink menu was fantastic - great prices for unique drinks.\t\n\t\nDEFINITELY a repeat!!

Our new favorite...and we've tried quite a few!

Large portions, very high quality fish, unique specials, knowledgeable staff, sushi for two is a great deal. The salmon will melt in your mouth and you have to try the toro when they have it!

greatest experience in Fujiyama.

we started with the flaming Teppan Roll. Let's just say it's the "flaming Moe" of Sushi. Excellent! It actually comes to you on fire completely engulfed in flames. This was a roll like no other. I highly recommend reserving a teppan grill and bringing a big party when dining at Fujiyama. The chef was off the chain with his tricks on the grill, the onion volcano was everyone's favorite. I myself had the filet mignon that you could cut with spoon, some of the best meat I have had on this planet so far. Our party was twenty people so we were able to taste the whole menu; everything from Sushi to Sashimi. All the food was very well prepared and was absolutely excellent. Our waiter and the rest of the staff was awesome,Fujiyama is the place to see in Cary,NC. I give the dinner and atmosphere an A+.
