Sears Hometown Store - Closed

As a grandmom and alone at night trying to put air in my tire in the dark near the Sears store on Gall hoping someone would help and as I watched men leaving the Hess gas station with beer and thought I better not ask them to help me. Instead a young man came out without the beer and had a shirt with Humane Society on it and a beautiful german Shepherd in his old truck and I decided to ask him for help. He not only took time to help and change my tire but was a youth to be emulated in today's world. He was not a teen but 30 years old and worked at Sears and I believe said he owned it. We spoke and I thought how proud his parents must be. He changed my belief and opinion of today's young people being greedy and not willing to help. What a wonderful example and I wish I had his name to thank again in person. He wouldn't take a penny for his work or time although he was already late in getting home after a long drive from Palm Beach area. God Bless him! Go Sears Go! ...read more
