I was in this store yesterday to quickly pick up an item. Of the 3 registers that were open, 1 had a long line, another had an issue with a price and referred me to another checkout, and the 3rd turned off her light just as I wallked up - said that she was finished for the day. I went to customer service who also would not check me out.....No one wanted or even cared to help me. I left without making a purchase. I am very disappointed in this store and will probably not return. ...read more

62 Days Left for Holiday Shopping
I was thinking about last week’s post, and I had to stop and think about my own technology inspired shopping trip.About two months ago, I got an e-mail from Old Navy, letting me know that they were having a big in-store sale with hidden coupons. Now, Old Navy is one of my favorite stores that I always must go to when I visit my parents, so I made a trip, and surprisingly enough – they had QR codes scattered all throughout the store. I wasn’t sure what a QR code was at the time, but I downloaded the reader and began scanning them. The codes, which had been hidden in the different departments, offered coupons and surprise offers. So, as I was filling my shopping bag, I was scanning QR codes hoping for an awesome 50% off. Well, I didn’t get it, but I still did lots of shopping, and managed to get away with 15% off. Not too shabby. My experience got me thinking: I get offers all the time through e-mail and banner ads, but how often do I actually buy things on my smartphone? Other than apps and music, I originally figured: not too much. But then I realized, not only have I re-filled my SunPass on my smartphone, but I’ve also ordered pizza and made reservations for restaurants. Even last weekend, while I was shopping for a new TV, I accessed different stores’ mobile sites in order to price the TVs without going anywhere else. It was perfect. The store I was at was able to price match then and there since I had the other store’s price right in my hand. I got a steal without doing the legwork. With the holiday season quickly approaching, many consumers are turning to their smart phones to look for gifts, get coupons, and buy items. Mobile shopping is currently one of the things that is getting easier to use, but we’re far from calling it “easy.” Are stores ready for the amount of shopping people will do on the go?Imagine, you are standing in line on Black Friday for the deals of the year -and as soon as the door opens, the website opens as well. You can press to click and buy exactly what you need right then and there, while comparing what’s in the store. You can shop two stores at once if you want – one physically – one mobiley. Last year, “Mobile traffic accounted for 6 percent of holiday traffic… up from one-tenth of 1 percent in 2009, according to Endeca” (MobileMarketer.com). How high will it be this year?Is your business ready to handle to influx of mobile traffic this holiday season? What can you do to get the customers into your store? How will you let them know about the specials and the sales? Go Mobile. Let us help you: CustomMobileMarketing.info ...read more

Customer Appreciation
As a family owned and operated florist delivering throughout all of Central Florida, I know that word of mouth advertising is the best and cheapest form of advertising. Did you know that you can keep a living plant dishgarden for well over a year....and that every time your customer sees it they will think of you. Send a dishgarden as a "thank you for your business" to any customer and see the referrals roll in. Not only do living plants (dishgardens) help the ecology but your customers will be so surprised and pleased that you are sure to be talked about......and that is the ultimate goal for any business. We have several pricing tiers for our corporate customers to make accounting easy and affordable. Call me 407-695-5142 for more information on how to increase your business with living plants. Delivering Smiles 6 days a week from 9am-5pm, order today....deliver today. Flowers, Plants, &Gourmet; Baskets...you imagine it we can make it.
