The Home Spun has been closed since late 2007. Had the best burgers in NW Florida. The waitresses at the place put AL out of business .. they kept short changing customers all of the time...word spread and it wasn't but a few months before they shut down. ...read more

The biggest complaint is that they won't "substitue" anything. On several occasions I asked them if I could swap out (on mostly take out orders) oysters even for a bowl of cheese grits and they refused...what? I'll let you keep $6 worth of orysters in favor of some .20 cent cheese grits -- bad business decision! When you dine in the portions look big, but actually the plate they serve it on is small, making it look as though you have lots of food. The plate is about 6" wide. They USE TO have awesome hamburgers now they have frozen patties. The food is good, but, you will pay double of what a good restaurant will serve...a restaurant that puts the the patron first.
