I frequent FRANK Theaters on Sundays because its my only day off work, its my pamper me day. I have gone from movie to movie making purchases no less than $25 a movie 3 or 4 movies & condiments all on just one Sunday. This Sunday I decided to treat my god-mom and myself to a movie at Franks Theater in the University Mall Tampa, FL.\t\nThe first time going was a good experience however there is a person at the counter super upset with his job, he was super rude to the line of people waiting to purchase tickets as if we were ruining his day by being there. I'm guessing he had better things to do than be at Franks Theaters selling movie tickets. I didn't respond then, I just paid for my movies and kept my mouth shut. \t\n\t\nLast night was a customer service night mere. I placed an order for my 2 movie tickets and condiments the order was rung wrong, also I was quoted a price that changed 3times due to the confusion of this young man, it was very frustrating dealing with this particular cashier. He decided that he had no care or concern that he was making multiple mistakes so on his part no apology was given to me. After messing up my order and giving me 3 different totals, I asked for a receipt the cashier replied "NO". He stated that if I paid with cash that I am not entitled to a receipt. I was shocked and disturbed. As I began to speak a second employee interrupted to show the cashier how to print out the receipt. I asked the name of the cashier he refused to say, I explained to him that I was very unhappy with the service that I received, I will be calling to talk to management on a later date. To my surprise, the employee whom helped print the receipt was a manager. The manager explained to me that his employee did nothing wrong according to him so if I called he wouldn't hear my complaint because his cashier is doing a good job according to him. If i was by myself i would have asked for all of my money$ back and left to never return. I stated this out loud. I also said that I will never return again after this horrible experience here. The cashier turned to me to celebrate that I was upset , he stated that he was ecstatic about me being upset he applauded the fact that I will never return. And that's just fine.\t\nI stated to my god-mom that this guy is really being a complete ahole, this cashier found his way into my conversation to respond back to me saying, " your a bigger ahole!" At this point I'm totally "p'ed" off. \t\nI began a conversation with the manager I stated my concern, I asked this manager how would he feel if he went to spend his hard earned money on his only day off, would he like to be mistreated, HE RESPONDED by saying that "earlier that day he went to SUBWAY restaurant to grab a sandwich but the SUBWAY closed 10mins earlier so they wouldst let him in. \t\nMy thoughts- WTH, I replied,"so because u were denied a sandwich at their business, the business that you represent should be operated in the same uncaring manner?" He stared well that's life. I said OK. I was there at 730pm Sunday when the movie stared, I didn't understand the MANAGERS comparison, I proceed to ask NAMES of the cashier and the manager, I was DENIED.\t\n I am a very unhappy frequenter. I will no longer endure this type of mistreatment from FRANKS THEATER in the UNIVERSITY MALL Tampa, FL. These are my reason why this company has lost a very good customer forever. You would think a theatre at Citrus Park Mall would be top notch. We got there on Saturday afternoon. It took 20 minutes to buy a ticket as they had only three ticket windows open during rush hour and a ton of kids were on hand that day to see "Cars 2". We had no problem with the kids. That movie was playing on three of their screens, but why only three ticket booths and a line stretched outside the mall? The theater is beautiful inside with upstairs and downstairs levels and escalators. There is also a food vending station upstairs, but of course that was closed. Thousands of people had to stand in line downstairs to be served by only three cash registers and overwhelmed employees. I finally got my large popcorn, but had to go back later to get more butter for the dried out popcorn after I had eaten through the top layer. They do not have self-serve butter available. The line was a mile long and my picture was being shown. I did not have all day to wait in line. I went to the front of the line off to the side and tried to get the attention of a server. When I finally got his attention he acted like I was bothering him to ask for something so simple as more butter when he had a huge line of people to serve. But it was important to me. I think I will stick with AMC theatres from now on. They have self-serve butter stations and plenty of help on hand. ...read more
