In July 2012 I had 1320 engineering do my 2jzgte engine swap into my IS300, what a mistake that was! It all started with a promised two week time frame and $9,000.00 paid that turned into nine weeks followed by their transmission guy disappearing for two weeks, a blown engine that they ordered, installed and then had to redo, the wrong short block installed to replace the blown one and didnt use new seals(car leaks oil bad), wrong wiring harness ordered, a transmission that was missing second gear entirely, transmission has broken two times now(Im having someone else fix now),a broke high pressure line to the power steering pump($485) and six trips to Tampa to try to fix problems that they couldnt fix that they created. I've given up on their ability to do quality work and back their workmanship. I don't recommend anyone using this shop. ...read more

1320 Stig

The BBS show Top Gear made the Stig popular in "petrol head" circles, which is what car enthusiasts are referred to on the other side of the pond. The original Stig wore a black outfit. The black  outfit  Stig was killed off and replaced with the white outfit. Here in the US, back in the day of muscle cars, enthusiasts were referred to as gear heads. Today they are typically considered tuners. In any case there is one common element, the driver. We at 1320 Engineering have adopted our cartoon character version of our Mechanic Stig as our mascot. The origins of this character is a highly guarded secret and any resemblance to any living person is purely a coincidence. Original 1320 Stig We at 1320 Engineering have been incorporating this image now on all our literature, advertising, websites, etc. We anticipate that when you see this image you will immediately remember 1320 Engineering, and our logo " Consider it built". To further gain attention and interest in the 1320 Stig we decide to make a "real" 1320 Stig.  However, rather than keeping our Stig secret, as they do on Top Gear,  we will share our Stig for your viewing pleasure. I hope many of you had the chance to see our real 1320 Stig posted on Facebook at our Facebook page "1320 Engineering". We also hope you are a fan of the page and take advantage of the information on local events and topics of interest. The first photo we revealed was this picture which was a fair resemblance to the 1320 Stig mascot. We posted this photo on Facebook a few times, there were a few clever comments and a few interesting guesses. There also was some leaked information that did give the true identity of the first 1320 Stig in real life. We will definitely keep the next real 1320 Stig a secret until the end of Sept. when we will add the next Stig to our Blog. In the mean time we hope you enjoy the following series of the reveal of the first real 1320 Engineering Stig. ...read more

Best Ways to Take Auto Racing Photos

Automobile races have a reputation for being difficult to photograph. In part, this is because the speed of cars when they are actually racing requires special techniques, usually panning with the motion of a car to freeze its motion while blurring the background, thus giving an impression of speed.
