Each year, thousands of art teachers nationwide are participating in a Vessels for Charity self funding clay art project. VFC offers a free, educational program to schools, teachers and parents. Financial support for art program: After the student artwork is published online, the parents and family may purchase by donating a minimum of $8. By doing so the student gets to keep the wonderful piece of art they created as well as be a part of charitable giving. $1 from every vessel is used to cover art materials. 20% is used to support a charity of class choice in your own neighbourhood and the remaining is submitted to Vessels for Charity for distribution to humanitarian aid around the globe. Depending on the amount of promotion the teacher invests and the demographic of family members, this support could range thousands of dollars for additional equipment / art supplies for the classroom. ...read more

On Thursday, December 10, 2009, Saks Fifth Avenue, WestShore Plaza Tampa, will host aNot So Silent Night to benefit the Children's Dream Fund. The event will run from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm in the Men's on One department with guests enjoying an evening of music, cocktails, hors d'ouevres, modeling and a cigar lounge. Informal modeling will focus on gifts a man might like to purchase for the ladies on his list. However,women are encouraged to attend. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are suggested. will donate 5% of sales for the event to the Children's Dream Fund.
