When I looked at the cashier and asked her what was going on, and why did she not tell the manager I was already going to get the table, she said she had to sell it to the other lady because she was already checking out at the register. That's like shopping and already claiming what you are going to purchase and just cause someone is "at the register" they can just come up and take it right out of your hands. I'll NEVER go back there again. I also attempted to call the manager when I left the store as the clerk refused to get her up to the register for me to talk to but they refused to answer the phone. 10/01/2012. I was in Goodwill in Rockledge today. My daughter's birthday is tomorrow and I so desperately needed to get a table for us. I'm a single mom on disability and struggling to make things good for my children. I walked in, saw a nice table, walked around it, looked good, noticed it was 75.00, had full intention to pay all 75.00, was ready to ask for help with it when some woman at the register spoke up and asked the sales clerk... How much is that table over there? Mind you, I already decided I wanted it, had my hands on it, my god son had already had one of the chairs in his hand physically when the cashier came over and excused me, sliding her hand in front of me taunting me away from the table, moved the stuff off the table and told the woman at the register the price and asked her if she wanted it, she says tell the mgr I'll give her 50 for it.
