As a current resident, I am very happy I only signed a 7 month lease because I cannot wait to leave this hell hole. It's gone from bad to worse starting from the day we moved in. We came into our apt for the first time to discover a dirty bathroom with ants everywhere (only to be blamed on the 3rd party cleaning staff) not to mention the sink was cracked. There were light fixtures which were broken and painted over and holes in our window screens (blamed on a previous maintenance worker who "no longer works here") but the worse one was the cheap repair job done in our pantry. They attempted to repair a tear in the corner of the vinyl near the entrance to the pantry but they used a wall plaster material and we literally were able to wipe off with our fingers because it's not a material that would set. Here I am on move in day, about to pay over $900 for a 1 bedroom and the response given to me as to why the place looked so dirty and cheap was "well, you have to keep in mind that you're not the first people who have lived here..." they were all fixed after we complained to the manager, multiple times. But these are things that should have been done before we moved in.Events since that will assure I don't renew my lease here:-cheap materials used in apartment: Counters easily scratch and stain. The vent in the bathroom broke and was replaced with a used one (which broke the same day) as well as our dryer breaking (would not heat and timer was broken)The day those were both fixed we came home to find that after fixing the dryer the maintenance worker couldn�t even push it back in and they left the bathroom a mess after the repair. With people not knowing what is happening with the economy. Please do not know if they are going to have a job or not. Also there are a lot of military transferring out of Riverview and more are transferring to Riverview so with all this the rentals that are out there are going really fast. In the last month I have had 5 new property management listing and 4 out of the 5 have received applications and are all set to be lease out at least the next year. All this was in under 30 days.
