The worst, worst, worst, worst, worst, worst, worst internet provider ever. Did I mention that they are the worst. My connection is up and down. Had them come over 3 times until one tech mentioned getting a newer modem. Boom, get new modem, upgrade to 50MB plan and connection is now the same, downtime is all the time with Advanced Cable. This company should be called Retreating Cable or anything the extreme opposite of Advanced. I find myself avoiding the use of the word advanced in my everyday speech, since just hearing the word infuriates me to the core. The second I hear there is any alternative to this horrible ISP, the next second I will be signing up. Anything to get rid of this garbage of an internet service provider Avoid at all costs. You are better off staring at a card board box, write internet on it and make believe that you have moved into an actual city with a real internet service provider that will provide consistent service, than come home, enjoy a warm dinner with the perception you might be able to get that one thing you left to finish in theboffice., but no, you have Advanced Cable, so if you have access, I'd suggest playing the lottery but be careful lightning doesn't hit you 10 times before you play the ticket, since you are in an episode of the twilight zone where everything has flipped percentages. I've heard Comcast is horrible, but these people are the worst. I'm going on day 7 of my cable going out every day for hours. Call support and they have no idea what is going on. This happens ALL THE TIME. I work from my home and wound up getting crappy DSL just as backup or I'd go broke. The only reason I'm able to type this right now is my DSL backup. They charge piecemeal for everything. If you need HD you have to rent a box, internet you rent their modem, phone you rent their router. On top of the ridiculous price of $135 per month they charge you rental fees for all equipment that you MUST have. Comcast was faster, better, cheaper. I've learned the city has a non-exclusive agreement with Advanced. The contract they had had ended years ago and the law does not allow for exclusive contracts. Comcast would have to invest in the infrastructure to provide service or buy out Advanced Cable's infrastructure. I'm willing to get more involved, in order to either replace Advanced or get Comcast in which will benefit even those that don't want to switch because the pricing will be more in line with Comcast's. ...read more

Recently moved from North Miami to Coral Springs. Took me just 30 minutes online to determine that Advanced is FAR from being "Advanced". Their service is over-priced and A LOT SLOWER than Comcast. I paid Comcast for a business connection $89/mo for 25mb down and 5mb up. Advanced charges $99 for 12mb down and 1mb up. Insane. For 15mb it's $200/mo. The service is absolute garbage. The internet is incredibly slow claiming 10 Mbps even though I was getting 4 at the most in my area. They have constant outages of both internet and T.V. And when they don't have outages the picture becomes pixelated, especially in HD. Their equipment is outdated and they have a complete monopoly of the area so your other choices are limited. Im happy with my cable service and have no customer service issues. Advanced Cable is way behind in internet speeds! They installed a fiber network years ago, and are not keeping up with current technology. Where is my "super fast" internet thats always advertised?
