To all Return Filers, If you need help with your taxes, just drop off your paperwork at our office and then we will schedule an appointment for you later. If it is late at night, we have a drop box for this purpose. We will call you in the morning to confirm receipt. In any event, to avoid IRS penalties, be sure you at least file an extension BNLT April 18, 2016, and if necessary, make a payment by this date. If you mail your return, it must be postmarked to show you got it to the post office before the deadline. USPS has a late night service for this. See their site for details as only some of their offices will be open late:https://www.usps.com/tax/welcome.htm Afterwards, if you still need help, or think you have overpaid your taxes, come see us after the deadline, we can help you then as well. Note that a tax return can be amended, up to 3-years after it has been submitted. So if a deduction oversight is discovered, it can be reclaimed over more than just one year̢۪s tax return.
