I intend to write a more detailed letter to your Apria Corporate Office, report this to the Better Business Bureau and send articles to the newspaper, if I don't get any action from you to resolve these problems. I unexpectedly found myself, after 9 months of dealing with Apria, in such a perplexing "mess". I was told that my insurance company would cover the cost of the cpap machine except for $45 per month, which means $405.00 that I owe, ONLY. But Apria just informed me that I owe in the $1,000's and turned my account over to collections without informing me, thus hurting my credit score. This is very unjust. Things were delayed, because you sent my claim to United Health Care- America instead of United Health Care - Golden Rule - my correct one. Then I was told that Golden Rule did not cover the humidifier part of the cpap at all. This is totally wrong. When I called to get explaination, I was hung up on. The Dr. Cox was amazing through out my pregnancy. Not only did he help with a bad back from the militay, I never experienced the back pain often associated with pregnancy. What a terrible terrible dentist and human being. He flat out steals from his patients and commits insurance fraud. We went to see him and he diagnosed my husband with major dental work. We were very trusting and spent over 4k. Well a year later we moved out of state and our new dentist had to completely redo what spivey did and then some because of the poor quality of workmanship. Since spivey we have spent an additional 6k in dental rework and repairs on my husband's mouth. There is no re-course with dental insurance, they would not go after him and paid the fraudlent bills. First off we were sitting in the waiting area, there were pts in there talking about how rude one of the dental assistants was, then the other mentioned how the dentist had no bedside manners & was very rude. i thought to myself, oh god, please dont let us become one of these horror stories. one man mentioned his wife had an appt at 10:30am and she was still in the back (we checked in at 1:35 pm, and when he got up to ask how she was, he was told, IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM, WE WOULD OF TOLD YOU, YOU CAN HAVE A SEAT NOW. As i sat there waiting for my husbands turn, i decided to call another dental office that i had just learned of, that was in my area (we drove an hour to get to this place) to see if they took our insurance, and thank god they did. Shortly after that they called my husband back, (he doesnt deal well with anything medical & is worse then a child, he made me promise not to leave him alone, which i did) we get to the back & the dental assistant asked, WHO'S PAYING THIS BILL? I told her we had insurance, she looked at me as if i was stupid & said I MEAN THE BALANCE? I asked what the balance was & she said , YOU'LL NEED TO COME WITH ME. We then went to the front desk & the girl there told me what it was going to be & I asked if they accepted visa, she said she would write all my credit card info down, because there machine was broke, i told her ok. I went back to the room & my husband was telling me his b/p was 130 over 60, the dental assistant rudely states 61! which was like ok, so what. I didnt say anything & after she left the room my husband said, she grabbed my hand after you left and shoved that thing on my finger so hard to get some kind of a reading for my breathing, that i thought she was trying to break it. Shortly after that the doctor walks in and begins to tell me, THIS ISNT LIKE MAJOR SURGERY, ITS NOT LIKE I'M REMOVING HIS LOWER WISDOM TOOTH, SO WHEN I START MY SURGERY YOU CAN LEAVE! Well I must of had a look on my face because he then states, DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM? I said, well, and that was it he then yelled, I'M DONE, GET OUT OF HERE! I couldnt believe it, just like that he was out of the room & he was master of the universe. I helped my husband up took him to the front desk to get our money back, and when i approached the girl who took the information from me, i told her the Dr didnt do anything i would like to have our money back, the dental assistant comes from no where & yells THE DR THREW THEM OUT BECAUSE SHE WOULDNT LEAVE!, I couldnt believe she just yelled that. there was patient s in the other rooms & i'm sure the people in the waiting area could here her, because the place isnt that big. The girl at the desk waited for this dental assistant to give her permission to give me back the paper she wrote my credit card info on, and after she got permisssion, she gave it back to me. i got my husband out to the car & he then states, what about my xrays. itold him i will go back in and get them (because he was still tired from the pills they had him take prior to his appointment) so i went back in, and as luck would have it, the beast (dental asst) was standing right there at the front. I told her I needed to get my husbands xrays, she stated I'LL MAIL THEM TO YOU, I told her no I would like to take them now, she picked up the phone & said, EITHER YOU LEAVE NOW OR I'M CALLING THE POLICE. I told her she couldnt keep his xrays, we brought them there, they didnt take those xrays. She said THERE OURS & I'LL MAIL YOU A COPY. I told her i didnt want a copy, we brought them & i wanted them, she then said again, LEAVE OR I'M CALLING THE POLICE. Unfortunately at this point i was so angry with this woman, i let her have it, by telling her she was the most rudess, unprofessional person iever meet, and I left without my husbands xrays.
