North Jetty Fish Camp You can't beat the atmosphere or the views. Right on the edge of the Venice, FL., Jetty wall with views of the boats coming and going the folks anchored out in their boats around Snake Island a few hundred feet away in the Intra Coastal Waterway, fishing swimming and partying away. Most times I get a view of one or more dolphins playing in the Jetty or of some manatees lolling along the edge of the Jetty wall. If you love to fish, pick up some frozen shrimp and just cast right off the Jetty wall every kind of fish in the Gulf of Mexico usually comes through the Jetty sooner or later. While your picking up some bait get a pop or a beer and a hot dog. they are as good or better than any you have eaten at a ball game at a fraction of the price. You always find smiling happy people working in the bait shop. If you love to watch people, come on over to the North Jetty Fish Camp. The pier must be 1,000 feet long or so.http://www.BestDryCleanersFL.com ...read more

The North Jetty WOW! It doesn't get any better. Day or night. It is simply "the place to be" A cold beer or a pop for $2.50 a dog real cheap. An un-equalled view of the Intra Coastal Waterway, the Venice Jettty and the Gulf of Mexico. Watch the gals and the guys go by, the motor and sailboats as well as the kayakers paddling about. Is there more. The folks working in the little building serving up the beer, pop and dogs are always so very friendly. It's just plain nice. I launch my 18 foot long white sea kayak into the ICW and paddle around Roberts Bay, Curry or Shackett's Creek or go north up to Midnight pass on Siesta Key or to Vamo Rd on the east side of the bay in Sarasota. When my kayak, Jeannie H" is not ion the water I keep her on the roof of my Yukon XL at my store, Best Dry Cleaners FL, 425 Laurel Rd E Nokomis FL 941-518-6906 in Blessing Thrift Shop. ...read more
