I contacted Rick at Xcessive engine about a long block. After a few phone calls and sending a few picture s of the engine I decided to purchase a long block. I was promised 4 day to built the engine and 4 days for shipping, that's a total of 8 business days before I receive my item. I paid on July 18th and received the engine on the 9th of August. This is after many phone calls to Rick and hearing all kinds of excuses from him about the delay. The worst part is that we agreed on a different kind of an engine and he even send me an email describing the differences between the two models and I called and verified which model I wanted and still got the wrong one. I called Rick and his explanation for this mistake was that I didn't notify him in writing about my decision. The funny part is the parts and all the gaskets that came with the engine were for the model that I was interested in, so I really don't know if they sent the wrong engine or the wrong parts. After a few calls and emails about the mistake, Rick responded that he will ship the correct parts, but by then I had already purchased them and installed the engine in my boat. Rick asked that I send him the parts and he will refund my account so I did. He indicated that he never received the items so I provided the UPS tracking number and also forwarded to him the email from UPS indicating that the item was received on October 4th. By now I have sent him 4 emails and left many messages for him but have not heard anything. So from the beginning all I had seen from this company was dishonesty in every aspect. The sad part is when I received the long block the way it was packed and shipped loose on a pallet amazed me and my coworkers and even the driver that delivered it was shocked.
