I lived there 5 years ago and just moved back into town. I thought I would drive through my old place. When I first saw them (again) I thought "Wow". I found out they were bought this year and the new people re-did everything. I cant believe my eyes. I moved in 2 months ago and love it. Its so peaceful and shaded with tons of trees. I face the parking lot but I don't even mind this because of all the bushes and trees. I'm glad I came back. the dumpster is a bit far but my new (and I mean everything is new-floors-appliances-lights) makes up for that. There is never trash seen and all my neighbors are so kind. Like the title of this review, the Savannahs is the worst place I've ever lived. The outside is filthy with giant smelly birds and feral cats roaming the grounds, defecating all over the parking lot and the breezeways. The outside floods because of broken sprinklers that are never fixed. I was there a week before a main water line broke and we were out of water an entire day. The electricity goes off for a few minutes almost every Saturday and the surges kept knocking out light bulbs. The staff is rude and nothing ever gets fixed. They pretend to be nice until you sign the lease and then good luck trying to get anything fixed. The steps are badly maintained, one even broke when I was walking up. Then when you move out, they add a bunch of bogus charges and send you a bill. No matter how much I tried to speak with supervisors or how many messages I left, they never responded. Where should I begin. Upon my first day of move in there were cops called to one of the residences due to some domestic disturbance. Second they try to keep their "30 days of satisfaction" a secret. I suppose so the leasing agent keeps his commission. I called on 4 seperate occassions asking to sublease my unit and he never informed of it until one of the ladies in the office informed me. Next and lastely they rape you if you have anytype of cosmetic repair needing to be done upon vacating. There is something called "usual and customary" and they rape there residence. They will surely be reported to the better business bureau by the end of this evenning. ...read more
